A quote from the Finnish Foreign Minister, who is the current OSCE chairman, in today's (8/22/08) Wall Street Journal story on OSCE peacekeepers who were forced to hide out in a basement while their post was bombed during the fighting in South Ossetia:
"I had three OSCE officers in there living on vodka and water," said Mr. Stubb, adding that one of them was a Finn.
The point being, I guess, that all three of the officers were in danger, and two were being deprived of basic nourishment.
